First off I gotta say my ds lite owns. Look at the pic and look how sexy it looks. I am playing friends thru wifi and its so fun lol.
So I picked up New Super Mario Bros and Mario Kart DS. The mario bros is so nostaglic. I remember back in the days with the old school marios on my NES. Brings back wonderful memories of just playing games and not worrying about anything in the world. Mario Kart is mario kart. It is only fun when playing against ppl and i got some WoW ppl and Alvin to play with. So I am gonna get tons of enjoyment from that game. I am glad I picked up the DS and I am especially glad Nate hooked me up big time. Saved a good chunk of change. ^_^
On other news. My friend Alonso had said there was a position open at his work place and he would recommend me and get me an interview if I was interested. This happened about last week and I decided yesterday on what I wanted to do. So I currently work at UCLA and its like any other typical state/gov type of job. Decent pay, moving up takes a lot more time, good benefits and real relaxed ppl/environment. Alonso works at a Fortune 500 comp and this job will pay more and will be ezier for me to move up the corp ladder, but the problem is I dunno how cut throat ppl might be and stuff like that. So after a week of debating what I should do and listening to advice from friends/family, I decided to stay at my job. For one I really like it at UCLA and I love the ppl I work with. Even though i don’t socialize with them as much as I should, I am starting to warm up a bit =). If u know me that takes a while lol. Also they allow me to take classes to brush up on new technology. For instnace I am taking a J2EE dev class and it costs 3k and I get to attend for free. I get to boarden my knowledge and that is always a good thing. Also I plan to go back to school soon for a MBA and what better place to do it then UCLA right? I sure would like the increase in pay, but me getting the job is still uncertain and it would be real ncie to see Alonso more often and work with him. But friends are always gonna be firends, so that is still ok. I’ve only been working at UCLA for 6 months and I barely just got out of probation. Dunno how bad it might look skipping jobs again.
Yet the ultimate reason is I earned this job myself. All my life stuff has always been handed to me. Everything was always provided for me and life was made easy for me. I was always pointed the direction to go treated as a baby and etc. But earning this job showing ppl I can do this on my own, PROVING ALL THE HATERS I will make it in this world is the most wonderful feeling ever. I am not at that point atm, but u can sure well known I am headed that direction. =)

So E3 is this week and I just finished watching all the conferences by the big 3 yesterday (nintendo, sony, ms). I got to say that nintedo was the best by far. Man the Wii really has me excited to play games all over again. I am just thinkign about all the positibilites you could do with the Wii-mote. I simply can’t wait. With a price at 250 or even as low as 200 as some predict, it will sell. Sony announced that in Nov the ps3 is comign out. Two systems will be avaiable the 20gb one and 60gb one. 500 and 600 respectively. What is funny is that Sony “forgot” to mention that the 600 dollar console will also not include wifi, card reader and HDMI output. Since i don’t have HDMI or a HD tv for that matter it doesn’t matter to me but in the future i plan to have one and this simply means u need to buy the 600 dollar console. I am not really savvy with TVs HD, DVI, Component, HDMI all that doesn’t mean shit to me but i think i should learn it when i pick up a plasma eventually. Xbox did show Halo 3 and I can’t wait for that. All in all i am buying a Wii but debating between ps3 and xbox360. FF franchise or Halo franchise is basically the decision for me.
Now that I have a disposiable income, I am starting to game even more. I have bought a few ps2 games and borrowed howards ps2. Now i plan on purchasing a DS Lite, when it comes out in June and picking up at least 4 or 5 games that i have in mind. Thats like 300-400 dollars. Thorw in a Wii in June-November and that means I gotta spend over 1 grand on games. I know thats a lot BUT I CAN’T FREAKING WAIT.

if anyone knows anybody that sells or can get ahold of these drinks let me know =). There are like 5 collector edition ones i want to get and keep =). I know I can buy it from ebay and stuff, but I don’t want to get it from ebay and be charged an insane amount of money for it. 22 bucks for 1 drink is kind of expensive =(
So I was trolling through /. today and an interesting article came up. I really wanted to post about this for a long time. The article is on gamedaily.com and it talks about how Utah house of reps passed a bill which categorizes video games as porn. This means people can “protect children” from harmful materials like video games and porn. WOW come the fuck on. Are you serious? The bill is based on past encounters of school violence ie shootings and other events like this. Seriously how can video games be linked to a person being violent. Lets call a ban for school. If these kids didn’t go to school then they wouldn’t shoot other kids at school. Logical rite? Come on man. Instead of blaming video games/developers and etc how about u blame parents. If parents these days aren’t lazy bums that sit there kids in front of the tv all day or let them play games all day maybe none of this will happen. The neglect parents give there children is probably bigger problem then violent video games. Look at me I’ve played video games since the early NES days. Thats almost half my life time and I turned out fine. In no way do I want to pickup a BFG (doom reference) and shoot the living shit out of everything in my site. That is because my parents monitored what I played, how much I played and at what age I played the games. And if parents paid closer attention to kids and watch for early signs of trouble school shootings wouldn’t be a problem. If government gets more involved in cases like this it is only going to be a matter of time before our freedoms are going to be violated ie freedom of speech. These right winged religious people are really starting to annoy me. No offense to u. u know who u are =)
So the gates to AQ have opened. My guild Auphan Clan has now stepped into AQ40 man and is currently taking down bosses =). We have had signifcant success in the instance and plan to be the first guild to complete the instance on our server. I can’t speak about our current progress atm, but we are doing fairly well =). This new content has made the game fun again. It use to be such a bore due to the repeating of BWL MC and etc. Finally something new has come out and Auphan can now take AQ down. I so want my AQ Ripper =(, but I guess its gonna take some time for it to drop.
