Man I can’t wait for this album to drop at the end of the month. It is one of the most anticipated albums on my list since forever. Kayne is producing most of this. Even though I don’t like him that much, he does have lots of talent. But man this Common album is gonna be dope. After his grammy nominated album Be, he should be putting out another good album. The thing I love about Common is that he isn’t one of these 1 track, 2 track wonders. Who sing “A bay bay”, “This is why I’m hot” and etc. His lyrics actually have meaning to it. A lot of todays artist are all bitches, hoes, my money blah blah blah. No meaning to it. Common actually spits from the heart and has meaning to his lyrics. He + Mos Def and Talib are some of the dopest rappers who don’t get the fame they deserve because they don’t make “catchy” music or music that sells off the charts. A friend of mine told me once that if music is catchy it usually isn’t anything worth listening too. This phrase is correct about 80% of the time. Catchy music is stuff u can dance to and shit like that but for stuff with a message and a meaning these artists are the ones to listen to
